Guardian angel or "spirit"? Something or someone
dwells inside me that is responsible for my paintings.I started painting at the suggestion of a friend who thought I was artistic. I said I was too busy at that
point in my life but it was something I would love to do "later" - maybe when I retired. He pushed me to get into a painting class - "Why not," he said ... so I signed up for a class.
I was surprised by my first painting. What had been a blank piece of water color paper was now a very nice sailboat anchored out in a cove. It still hangs in my home and 10 years later it still seems impossible
that it was my first attempt.
I've studied at For Arts Sake and the Nancy Stevens Gallery, with a spattering of courses at RISD and various seminars. I am a member of the E.
G. Art Club and I am presently art instructor for the Senior Citizens Program in East Greenwich.
