I am a self taught artist. I find great joy in the challenge to capture one's character in the human face. Working from a photo, the expression stands still for me, encompassing the whole of the individual personality.

I find inherent good in every pair of eyes and the emotion each face conveys to me as I see it. My goal is to reveal the soul behind the eyes and face; to bring forth the unique and true character -- essentially, the beauty which is in everyone.

House portraits convey character, as well. They are a representation of the family inside. Their style and taste which they have put into their homes says much about the owners themselves.

I do my very best to represent the essence of the subject I'm drawing – be it the home in which you dwell or the look in your eyes.
