Scholarships
The East Greenwich Art Club provides a scholarship to further the art education of a graduating high school senior. The graduate to be awarded the scholarship will be determined by a competition judged by a scholarship committee of the Art Association. Interested students will submit their application for the art scholarship competition to the East Greenwich Art Association no later than May 1, 2019.

Award of the Scholarship
Actual enrollment in a BA, BFA, or Art education program is required to be eligible for award of the scholarship. Applicants may document their acceptance in such a program with a photocopy of an acceptance letter submitted with application.
Payment of the scholarship award will be made at the June 2019 meeting of the East Greenwich Art Club.

Prerequisites:
- The applicant shall be currently enrolled as a senior at East Greenwich High School and in good standing to graduate in 2019.
- The applicant must be recommended by a faculty member of the Art Department at East Greenwich High School or other Art teacher.
- The applicant must be accepted in a program leading to a degree in Fine Arts or Art Education at an accredited university, college or art school for the 2018-2019 academic year.
- A portfolio of 8 or more works is to be presented. All work shall be solely the original work of the applicant and may include work from other private classes.
- No limit is placed on size, and the size will not be considered in the decision of the judges.
- Work may be done in the following categories: Painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, and photography.
- Presentation will be solely at the discretion of the student artist.
- The works will be judged on the basis of creativity, originality, and quality of execution.
- The art portfolio should demonstrate proficiency in a variety of media.
- The jury will consist of the scholarship committee of the East Greenwich Art Club.
- The decision of the judges is final.
- The Scholarship Chairperson will announce the decision of the judges in a timely manner, and the winners will be announced directly.
